Football Recap: Northeastern Bobcats vs. Dover Eagles
Northeastern couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Dover Eagles. The defeat leaves the Bobcats without a win on the season.
Dover was led to victory by Malik Dickens and Lincoln Decker. Dickens rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while Decker threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeastern will venture away from home to challenge Kennard-Dale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover, they will head out on the road to take on South Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
