Preview: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Brighton Bulldogs

The Fort Collins Lambkins will head out on the road to take on the Brighton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Collins has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,040 points over their last 14 games.

Even though Horizon scored an imposing 76 points on Tuesday, Fort Collins still came out on top. Fort Collins walked away with an 83-76 victory over Horizon.

Fort Collins relied on the efforts of Jackson Folkestad, who scored 28 points, and Jayce King, who scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Folkestad has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Burkett, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Brighton pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Broomfield. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brighton in their matchups with Broomfield: they've now lost seven in a row.

Fort Collins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Brighton, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Fort Collins strolled past Brighton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 85-67. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Brighton's Cooper George, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Fort Collins to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
