Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeastern Local). They blew past the Catholic Central Irish 9-3 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won nine in a row.

Kyle Adkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on one hit and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jake Alderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Wade Shope was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Southeastern Local was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Southeastern Local's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Catholic Central, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
