Baseball Recap: Catskill's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Catskill was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Germantown last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cats fell just short of the Hudson Bluehawks by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. Cats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bluehawks since on Thursday.

Will Cummings made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Cummings is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Minkalis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Catskill fell to 3-1. As for Hudson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
