South Bend Clay extends home losing streak to six

Recap: South Bend Clay Colonials vs. Glenn Falcons

This season hasn't been kind to the South Bend Clay Colonials, who are still winless after their ninth match. They received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 45-29 to Glenn. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Bend Clay in their matchups with Glenn: they've now lost nine in a row.

Several Colonials players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maliya Freeman, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Freeman scored a full 41.4% of South Bend Clay's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Delilah Castaneda was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.

Among those leading the charge was Addison Reese, who scored 18 points along with 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Dre Weddington, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.

South Bend Clay's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Glenn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

South Bend Clay will be playing at home against Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenn, they will head out on the road to face off against Elkhart at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Elkhart is ranked 132nd, while Glenn is ranked 146th).
