Baseball Recap: Ravenna Takes a Loss

Ravenna and Garfield pushed the score to 19-2 the last time they played Garfield, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Ravens fell 3-0 to the G-Men. The Ravens have struggled against the G-Men recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Connor Welling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Garfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8.

Coming up, Ravenna will square off against Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Garfield, they will challenge Lowellville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
