While Bear Creek put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for McNair. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Natalie Trujillo was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gabriella Orsi was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanah Perry, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bear Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Bear Creek's record now sits at 17-4. As for McNair, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Bear Creek will challenge Oakdale at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight. McNair does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
