While Mendon's win against Brockport wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mendon's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Brockport are ranked 84th).

The victory made it two in a row for Mendon and bumps their season record up to 13-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Brockport, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mendon will face off against Sutherland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brockport, they will square off against Greece Arcadia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
