Softball Recap: Milan Bulldogs vs. Ripley Tigers
Milan couldn't beat Ripley on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Camryn Green was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.
In other batting news, Maycee Masters was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Grace Webb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
