Brookwood extends home losing streak to four

Recap: Brookwood Panthers vs. Sipsey Valley Bears
The Brookwood Panthers lost against the Sipsey Valley Bears back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Brookwood ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-36 walloping at the hands of Sipsey Valley.
Despite the defeat, Brookwood saw an underclassman step up: Taylor Crummie scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Mayo, who scored five points.
Brookwood's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-16. As for Sipsey Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookwood will take on Bessemer City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bessemer City is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Sipsey Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Demopolis' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
