Baseball Recap: Madisonville Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Madisonville's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hudson Hornets on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Dean West was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.

This is the second loss in a row for Madisonville and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Hudson, their record is now 8-9-1.

While Madisonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
