Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Beech Grove and New Palestine squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Beech Grove had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Dragons. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured 15 defeats in a row.

Leading New Palestine to victory were Samantha Gooding and Kennedy Armstrong. Gooding had 24 assists, while Armstrong had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Armstrong has posted over her last six matches.

Beech Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-27. As for New Palestine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 27-4.

Beech Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Palestine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Greenwood on the 18th.
