Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nipomo). They put the hurt on the Orcutt Academy Spartans with a sharp 21-3 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.

Nipomo got a massive performance out of Griffin Groshart, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Groshart has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aden Willis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Nipomo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orcutt Academy only posted an OBP of .318.

Nipomo now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Orcutt Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Nipomo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
