Volleyball Recap: Trumbull's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Darien on Tuesday, Trumbull came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Greenwich Cardinals on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Cardinals since November 4, 2021.

While Trumbull was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-7.

McKenzyi Bell paced Trumbull's offense, picking up nine kills. Bell got some help from Callie McGillicuddy and her 16 assists. Bea Carley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Trumbull moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Greenwich, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Trumbull has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against St. Joseph on the 6th. As for Greenwich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Darien on the 8th.
