Soccer Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee and Highlands combined for 27 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Cherokee Braves fell just short of the Highlands Highlanders by a score of 3-2. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennica Bradley and Addison Stewart scored both of Cherokee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Cherokee now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Highlands, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Cherokee will host Blue Ridge Early College at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highlands, they will head out to challenge Smoky Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
