Soccer Game Preview: West Stokes vs. East Surry + How To Watch

The West Stokes Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the East Surry Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Stokes has given up an average of 4.4 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Stokes came up short against Forbush on Monday, falling 10-1. West Stokes haven't had much luck with Forbush recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, East Surry was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of North Surry by a score of 2-1. One reason for the loss might be East Surry's aggressive play style: Anthony DE LA Cruz and Owen Felts were both handed yellow cards.

East Surry's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-3. As for West Stokes, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

West Stokes beat East Surry 3-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
