Baseball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ALA - Queen Creek, Bradshaw Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 13-10 victory over the St. Mary's Knights. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Dylan Lockwood was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Strader was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Bradshaw Mountain's record now sits at 7-3. As for St. Mary's, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Bradshaw Mountain will square off against Mingus at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Mingus has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.27 runs per game on average), something Bradshaw Mountain will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Mary's, they will take on Marcos de Niza at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's pitchers better be ready for this one: Marcos de Niza has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
