Baseball Recap: Eastern Hancock Triumphs

Eastern Hancock's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Cowan Blackhawks. The Royals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blackhawks, too.

Luke Fletcher was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Rouse, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

The win got Eastern Hancock back to even at 1-1. As for Cowan, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Eastern Hancock will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue River Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cowan, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tri at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
