Volleyball Recap: East Palestine Takes a Loss

The East Palestine Bulldogs came up short against The Linsly School Cadets on Wednesday and fell 2-0.

East Palestine was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22.

Destiney Burtyk paced East Palestine's offense, picking up eight kills. Burtyk got some help from Cami Kridler and her 11 assists. Kridler also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Amara Wilson, each putting up two.

East Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for The Linsly School, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

East Palestine has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fort Frye on the 8th. As for The Linsly School, they will challenge Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cadets are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
