Basketball Game Preview: Jersey Panthers vs. Springfield Senators

The Jersey Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Springfield Senators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Jersey came up short against Waterloo and fell 57-48. The Panthers were up 28-14 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Meanwhile, Springfield also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Glenwood by a score of 50-42.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Jersey, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.

Jersey didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Springfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jersey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
