Ionia is a perfect 10-0 against Lakewood since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Ionia Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Lakewood Vikings at 5:30 p.m.

Lakewood narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Olivet 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since January 30, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Ionia and nudges their season record down to 11-10. As for Lakewood, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.

Everything went Ionia's way against Lakewood when the teams last played back in January, as Ionia made off with a 72-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ionia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
