Wellington came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Keystone Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Wellington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

Noli Deidrick paced Wellington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Deidrick got some help from Courtney Krosse and her 24 assists. Alexa Gallion controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Wellington's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Keystone, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Wellington and Keystone could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Dukes (ranked 350th) will meet Smithville (ranked 136th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Keystone will square off against Lake Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (691 vs. 76).
