Methuen faced Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rangers walked away with a 30-20 victory over the Raiders. For the Rangers, this counts as revenge for the 42-6 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.

Caiden Hartley-DiDio was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 236 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 66 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Methuen and bumps their season record up to 4-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 3-1 Andover (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.5% over those games). As for Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
