Baseball Recap: Escambia Gets the Win

Escambia won the last time they faced Northview and things went their way on Friday too. The Escambia Gators narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northview Chiefs 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Christian Stone was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

Stone wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Bates, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Taivyn Anderson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Escambia's record now sits at 3-1. As for Northview, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escambia will welcome Davidson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northview, they will be playing at home against Escambia County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
