The Central McLean co-op [Underwood/Turtle Lake-Mercer] Comets earned a 3-1 win over the Velva Aggies on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Central McLean co-op [Underwood/Turtle Lake-Mercer] had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Velva still got an impressive performance from Keely Cadwell, who had 27 digs and two aces. Cadwell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Central McLean co-op [Underwood/Turtle Lake-Mercer]'s victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Velva, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
