South Stokes waltzed into their match on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Bishop McGuinness Villains by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win back in September.

South Stokes had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

South Stokes can attribute much of their success to Hannah Mcgee, who had ten digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Avery Carrick, who had nine digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: South Stokes was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in nine consecutive contests.

South Stokes' win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Bishop McGuinness, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Looking ahead, South Stokes will be playing in front of their home fans against Queen's Grant at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Sauras are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
