Multi-talented star from Tampa (Fla.) will make an impact on either side of the ball.

Five-star two-way standout Nelson Agholor of Berkeley Prep (Tampa, Fla.) signed with Southern Cal, ending a harried recruiting process for the top-rated prospect in the Sunshine State.

Agholor, the No. 13-ranked prospect in the nation by MaxPreps, picked the Trojans over Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame.

Agholor is a multi-talented athlete who played as many as six different positions at Berkeley Prep and seems capable of fitting in at any position at the next level. However, many feel the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Agholor will play wide receiver.

The Orlando Sentinel rated him the No. 1 prospect in its Florida Top 100 and observers noted he would fit nicely into the wide-open passing attack at Florida under new Gators offensive coordinator Brent Pease, the mastermind behind Boise State's high-octane offense before leaving for Gainesville. Turns out, he will be Lane Kiffin's weapon.

Agholor also is an outstanding defensive back and could be a punt and kickoff return specialist as well. MaxPreps recruiting analyst Tom Lemming said that Agholor "makes everything look easy and is a natural athlete."

As a wide receiver, Agholor has sure hands and the speed and quickness to turn any reception into a touchdown or big gain. He's also an excellent leaper and with his size is capable of being a nightmare for many opposing cornerbacks. He has superb instincts and quickness as a defensive back and has shown outstanding ability to read quarterbacks.
