Softball Game Preview: Seton Saints vs. Mercy McAuley Wolves

Seton is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Wednesday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Mercy McAuley Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Seton didn't have quite enough to beat Lakota West and fell 10-9.

Meanwhile, Mercy McAuley came up short against Badin on Tuesday and fell 8-4. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Olding made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Molly Millner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Seton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mercy McAuley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Seton took their victory against Mercy McAuley in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
