Basketball Recap: Pershing County Piles Up the Points Against Wells

Pershing County won against Yerington last Tuesday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Pershing County Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wells Leopards 63-28. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Pershing County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Wells, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pershing County will venture away from home to take on North Tahoe at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North Tahoe will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pershing County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wells, they will head out on the road to challenge McDermitt at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
