While Standish-Sterling put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Clare. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Pioneers. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pioneers, too.

Standish-Sterling pushed their record up to 19-2-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clare, they moved to 12-5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.
