Basketball Recap: Landmark Christian Takes a Loss

Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-29 loss at the hands of the Wesleyan Wolves. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Wolves are ranked 188th).

Despite the loss, Landmark Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Charm Husband posted eight points and three steals.

Landmark Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Wesleyan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Landmark Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 46-45 loss against King's Ridge Christian on the 1st. As for Wesleyan, they will challenge Paideia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wesleyan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
