Softball Game Preview: Archbishop Hoban Knights vs. Green Bulldogs

The Archbishop Hoban Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Green Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Archbishop Hoban nor Green posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Archbishop Hoban fell victim to Boardman and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Green strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Hoover. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Archbishop Hoban's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Green, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Archbishop Hoban couldn't quite get it done against Green when the teams last played back in April of 2022 as they fell 3-0. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
