Basketball Recap: El Modena Comes Up Short

On Friday, the El Modena Vanguards came up short against the Fullerton Indians and fell 52-40. The Vanguards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fullerton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jad Mustafa, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. Jordan Myvett was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

El Modena's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fullerton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

El Modena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-35 defeat against Tustin on the 23rd. As for Fullerton, they will take on Rowland in a tournament on Thursday. Rowland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fullerton likes a good challenge.
