Northridge is 8-2 against NorthWood since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Northridge got the win against Goshen by a conclusive 8-1. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Addi Knisley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mia Branam was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Leighla Winchester, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, NorthWood waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Minutemen.
Ana Beachy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Beachy was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, NorthWood got a massive performance out of Ella Haseley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
NorthWood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Northridge has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for NorthWood, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything went Northridge's way against NorthWood when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Northridge made off with an 18-7 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
