            Baseball Recap: Sanford Spartans vs. Windham Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Sanford barely beat Windham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Eagles 9-2 on Saturday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Scott Robitaille Jr made a splash no matter where he played. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Robitaille Jr was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 In other pitching news,  Brayden Baron looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances.

 Back at the plate, Sanford let  Matthew Hebert and  Drew Vessels run wild. Hebert  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Vessels  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run. Vessels has become a key player for Sanford: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.
 Sanford  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windham struck out nine times.
Sanford's record now sits at 7-5. As for Windham, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the  defeat, which was their ninth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sanford is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Kennebunk  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Windham will  take on  rival Cheverus  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
