Bronson played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against the Hawthorne Hornets as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.
While Bronson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-16.
Their offense was headlined by Hailey Clifton and Canzada Russ, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Makynna Knapp and her 13 assists. Makenna Dean controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
The victory got Bronson back to even at 2-2. As for Hawthorne, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
After both having extra time off, Bronson and Wildwood will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hawthorne, they will take on Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
