Football Game Preview: Bogalusa Lumberjacks vs. Pine Raiders

The Bogalusa Lumberjacks will face off against the Pine Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bogalusa will be strutting in after a victory while Pine will be coming in after a loss.

Bogalusa is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 26-20 win over Springfield on Friday.

Deontae Ishman went supernova, rushing for 220 yards and two TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes. Those 220 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Levi, who picked up 110 receiving yards and one score.

Bogalusa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Talan Guy.

Meanwhile, Pine entered their contest against Sumner on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Raiders had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Cowboys. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cowboys 14-7 in the first quarter.

Bogalusa's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Pine, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
