Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael Warriors vs. West Feliciana Saints

The St. Michael Warriors will take on the West Feliciana Saints at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, St. Michael came up short against University Lab and fell 7-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cubs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, West Feliciana was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Woodlawn-B.R. 23-4. Considering the Saints have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Feliciana has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

St. Michael was able to grind out a solid win over West Feliciana in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Michael since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
