The Harmony Longhorns will take on the Jupiter Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harmony will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Harmony is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Lake Nona with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Ismael Rivera looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jadiel Perez was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Scrofani, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Jupiter nor St. Cloud made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since March 11th.
Conner Sorge looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabe Graulau, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Griffin Miller was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Harmony pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jupiter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harmony hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Jupiter struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Harmony was able to grind out a solid victory over Jupiter when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 10-6. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
