Recap: Perry Commodores vs. Allen East Mustangs

It was a good run, but the Perry Commodores unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 58-32 defeat at the hands of Allen East. Perry has struggled against Allen East recently, as their contest on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Perry's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lexenna Lee, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Alana Pernell who scored eight points along with two steals. Lee has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Perry will head out on the road to take on Elgin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for Allen East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spencerville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spencerville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
