Basketball Recap: Lakeland's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It was a Battle of the Birds when Lakeland faced off against Lakeside on Friday. The Lakeland Hawks came out on top against the Lakeside Eagles by a score of 53-45. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Lakeland, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. As for Lakeside, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Lakeland is facing Post Falls at the right time seeing as Post Falls is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Lakeside and Colfax will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
