Basketball Recap: Deerfield Comes Up Short

Deerfield lost against Moscow back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Deerfield Spartans fell 36-25 to the Moscow Wildcats. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Deerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Moscow, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deerfield will take on Moscow in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moscow and Rolla will compete for holiday cheer on Monday. Moscow is facing Rolla at the right time seeing as Rolla is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
