Football Game Preview: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Centennial Knights + Official Tickets

The Lithonia Bulldogs will face off against the Centennial Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lithonia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35.4 points per game this season.

Lithonia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Griffin with points to spare, taking the game 27-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Xavier Butler had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 171 yards and three scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Those 171 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Albert Gooding was another key back, rushing for 119 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lithonia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Lithonia's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Josias Dore was the leader with two sacks. Lithonia got some further help from Braylon Jackson: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Centennial beat Locust Grove 28-21 on Friday.

A big part of Centennial's win came down to the chemistry between Landon Brown and his top target Jake Hickox. Brown threw for 251 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt while Hickox picked up 107 receiving yards and one score. Centennial is undefeated when Brown posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise.

Centennial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as St. Matthew Oyedotun, Brayden Roberson, and Hickox picked up one apiece. Roberson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lithonia's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
