Baseball Game Preview: Alamo Heights Mules vs. Wagner Thunderbirds

The Alamo Heights Mules will head out on the road to face off against the Wagner Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Alamo Heights has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Alamo Heights' offense. They fell just short of New Braunfels by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Yul Salaburu's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wagner). They came out on top against Boerne by a score of 8-4 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Thunderbirds as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alamo Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17-1 record this season. As for Wagner, their victory bumped their record up to 7-18.
