Baseball Game Preview: Daniel Boone Blazers vs. Twin Valley Raiders

The Daniel Boone Blazers will square off against the Twin Valley Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Daniel Boone blew Penn Manor out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Penn Manor got their revenge. Daniel Boone fell just short of Penn Manor by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blazers have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Daniel Boone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Hasara, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Hasara's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Twin Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Mechanicsburg on Saturday and fell 7-5. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nate Lord put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Twin Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Daniel Boone, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
