Basketball Recap: Bancroft-Rosalie Piles Up the Points Against West Monona

Bancroft-Rosalie came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 83-53 win over the West Monona Spartans. That looming 83-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Bancroft-Rosalie was led to victory by Jaden Browning and Braylon Wegner. Browning went 13-for-21 on his way to 36 points and five assists, while Wegner shot 60% from beyond the arc en route to 23 points along with seven boards and six assists. With that strong performance, Browning is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. Arian Marrufo was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and eight rebounds.

Bancroft-Rosalie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Bancroft-Rosalie's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West Monona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
