Baseball Recap: Leyden Wins Going Away Against Fenton

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conant, Leyden was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Fenton Bison with a sharp 20-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.

Nick Cozzi made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cozzi was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Angel Gutierrez was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also put up a home run, which was his first of the season. Julian Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
