Softball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Victorious

Cornerstone Christian never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Wimberley Texans.

Elisa Hernandez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Cornerstone Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Stewart, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cornerstone Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wimberley, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will take on Valor South Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wimberley, they will challenge Blanco at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blanco will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Wimberley surely won't give up without a fight.
