Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Revere Minutemen
Roosevelt has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Revere Minutemen at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Roosevelt beat Tallmadge 48-41.
Roosevelt can attribute much of their success to Jeremiah Lepp, who scored 12 points, and Jaden Dennison, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Grant Leslie, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Wooster scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Revere still came out on top. It was close, but Revere ultimately received the gift of a 61-58 win from a begrudging Minutemensquad. The score was all tied up 37-37 at the break, but they were the better team in the second half.
The victory got Roosevelt back to even at 3-3. As for Revere, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Roosevelt took a serious blow against Revere when the teams last played back in February, falling 70-28. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
