Basketball Recap: Salem Victorious

Salem proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 57) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 win over the Green Run Stallions. That's more bragging rights for the Sundevils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Salem's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Green Run, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Salem and Grassfield will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Grassfield: 28.3, Salem: 24.3) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Green Run, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on NC GBB Academy National at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
